The new team will also play a key role in supporting our ambitious targets in relation to student success and graduate outcomes. This new role represents an exciting opportunity to help drive forward the work of this new team. The successful candidate will utilise their professional expertise and experience to which will make a real and lasting difference to students' achievement and success. Duties of the RoleThis post an important function in working to deliver placements and develop our links with industry. The Industry and Placements team work closely with students and a variety of stakeholders including academic departments and external employers. This post will support the Work Based Learning (Extra-Curricular Opportunities) Manager in delivering the agreed priorities and actions by providing internship management support and ultimately, contributing to providing a transformative student experience. Duties will also include tracking and monitoring students on internships, maintaining records, responding to new queries and undertaking user experience surveys.Skills and Qualifications requiredThe successful candidate will be educated to degree level or have equivalent experience and will have experience of employer engagement and managing innovative projects. In addition, you will have an understanding of student recruitment and the graduate labour market. Research and report writing, excellent communication, time management and multitasking skills and good working knowledge of IT are all essential for this post.At the University of Essex internationalism is central to who we are and what we do.
