The Student Development Team within the Academic Section brings together key activities to enable us to deliver our commitment to the success of every student and support them to realise the potential of their Essex Spirit. This is done through offering a wide range of services that focus on developing academic skills and/or employability in order to support student success and graduate outcomes.
Duties of the Role
The Careers Information Coordinator represents an exciting opportunity to work within Student Development, as part of our Careers Services Team, to develop and deliver careers information and advice to our students. Duties will include the development of online and hard copy resources, and promotion of events and workshops.
This appointment is for a fixed-term to 05 May 2022 in in order to provide cover for a permanent member of staff who is absent from work on maternity leave. The hours of work will be 21.6 hours per week (0.6FTE) to be worked across Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday of each week.
Skills and Qualifications required
The successful candidate will bring innovative approaches to communicating careers information and have a passion for helping students succeed. The post holder will have excellent communication skills, the ability to research information and convey ideas in a clear and understandable way.
