The opportunity has arisen for motivated individuals to join our Soft FM Services team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a quality; customer focused cleaning service within the University campus.
Duties of the role
As part of your position as Domestic Services Assistant, you will be responsible for cleaning and preparation of various areas in the academic and associated buildings, and provide cleaning cover across all University buildings including the residential buildings as and when required by management.
In response of the current Covid-19 pandemic, extra safety measures have been implemented to ensure we are protecting our staff, students and wider community. If successful, you will complete a mandatory health declaration and a risk assessment before starting work. You will also be required to adhere to wearing all necessary Personal Protective Equipment, as guided by your line manager.
Hours and working patterns available;
Weekend – 15 hours per week to be worked. Current working hours for this post are Saturday and Sunday 5.30am to 1.45pm.
Skills and qualifications
You must have the ability to undertake domestic cleaning to a high standard with good communication skills, a positive attitude to delivering good customer service and a flexible approach to work. You will ideally have an understanding of any Health and Safety information and guidance, in order to carry out the safe use of chemical and equipment, however this is not essential as training will be provided.
It is important that you are able to undertake physical aspects of the post, and can fulfil the staff vetting requirements in respect of the University Positions of Trust. You will have a flexible and positive approach to work, with a professional manner.
