Duties of the Role
The Finance and Operations Officer is responsible for maintaining and monitoring the regional international offices' financial management information and records, and providing high quality financial support to the Director of CER, Senior Financial Analyst and Deputy Administrative Officer.
The post-holder is also responsible for the provision of general administrative support to facilitate the day to day operations of the regional international offices and wider section.
The Finance and Operations Officer will contribute to effective communication and engagement, a culture of strong partnership working with key stakeholders, which will include covering for other team members in their absence. They will also contribute to a culture of excellence in service delivery, sharing of best practice, and continuous improvement of administrative services.
Qualifications and skills required
In order to be successful, you will be a qualified accounting technician or have substantial progress towards a recognised accountancy qualification, or relevant experience.
You will have experience in the provision of financial advice and information to budget holders, along with working knowledge of financial management systems and databases. You must have a sound understanding of accountancy ledger processes, with an understanding of key principles of financial controls.
