UK Data ArchiveThe UK Data Archive is the lead organisation of the UK Data Service, which provides unified access to regional, national and international social and economic data, support for policy-relevant research and guidance and training for the development of skills in data curation and use.
Duties of the RoleThe post-holder will provide coordination and administrative support for the Communications and Engagement team in the UK Data Archive and UK Data Service. This is a varied role that provides the opportunity to co-ordinate multi-channel communications for events and training (including social media, web, print and promotional materials). The successful candidate will be responsible for co-ordinating training activities including webinars, triaging team workflow and proactively contributing to engagement across the Communications team, department and partner organisations as appropriate.

Qualifications and Skills requiredIn order to be successful, you will need evidence of, or qualifications, using Microsoft packages, with a high level of competency in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. You will also be educated to GCSE (grade A-C) level or equivalent in English and Maths.
The successful candidate will have excellent organisational and administrative skills and will possess the ability to work independently with minimal supervision, managing a range of varied tasks and dealing effectively with multiple priorities/deadlines. We are looking for an individual with administrative experience, including working in a Service environment where a high level of accuracy and attention to detail were required. Excellent interpersonal and effective communications skills are essential.

This is a fixed-term, full-time post until 31 March 2021, due to the nature of the funding. This post involves access to Government systems, information or data and will be subject to the staff vetting process. Further information can be found in the job pack.
