The School has an excellent reputation for teaching and research in health and social care. Our academic members of staff include nurses, allied health care professionals, social workers, psychologists and sociologists. The School is run across two campuses, based at Southend and Colchester.
The School is now seeking to appoint a CPD Programme Administrator based at our Colchester campus.
Duties of the Role
This fixed-term, part-time post is to cover the exceptional interest in Continuing Professional Development (CPD) courses within HSC. The post holder will provide administrative assistance and support for the CPD Programme and the development of short new courses within HSC.
Responsibilities will include providing a support service to students, Divisional Leads and Programme Leads as well as other academic and external practitioners. Core duties include coordinating the submission of applications and production of attendance and waiting lists for courses as well as liaising with internal and external contacts regarding attendance and funding requirements. The post holder will be responsible for the coordination of the full CPD student course life cycle, ensuring high quality communications for all.

Skills and qualifications required
The post would suit an experienced administrator and team member, who is able to deliver excellent professional and customer service standards. You should have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and excellent IT skills, especially in Microsoft Office, with demonstrable competency in Word, Outlook, and Excel.
The ability to work effectively, establishing good working relationships with staff, internal and external, relevant, and extensive administrative experience in a challenging and varied role and experience in accessing, interpreting, and editing information in databases are essential for this post.
