We are now looking to appoint to our newly created position of Lecturer (Clinical Coordinator) in Speech and Language Therapy.
This role will require management, administration, and organisation of placement activity across our pre-registration SLT programmes, alongside teaching and support of students on our existing programmes, and generally enhancing our research-led teaching.
We have a strong reputation for our innovative educational delivery of Speech and Language Therapy programmes, including recent development of one of the UK’s first Speech and Language Therapy Degree Apprenticeship courses.
You will be expected to focus on clinical leadership, professional practice, and placement availability in Speech & Language Therapy, including both traditional placement sources and development and servicing of In-House Simulation and University clinic, as well as Clinical On-Line and Telehealth clinics and outreach.
In addition, for Grade 9 ASER contracts, you will develop a research agenda, which pursues individual and/or collaborative research objectives and produce research outputs for publication and submit grant applications and obtain funding for your research.

About youYou will have relevant professional experience or practice or relevant doctoral level degree or be close to completion and will have HCPC registration as a Speech and Language Therapist or an equivalent EU / International registration.
It is essential that candidates have experience in professional practice, working in professional practice and clinical leadership and proven experience in teaching at undergraduate and/or postgraduate levels, or demonstrable potential to engage in teaching and learning support.For ASER contracts, you will have a clear publication plan for submission to future Research Excellence Framework (REF) programmes and evidence of a research agenda, engagement in high-quality research activity and a developing research profile.
