The School of Computer Science & Electronic Engineering is seeking to appoint an experienced administrator, with prior experience of working within a purchasing / finance role. Working within the Finance Team, the post holder will work closely with the Technical and Faculty team to ensure that all purchases within the School are processed in a timely manner, within budget and in accordance with Financial Regulations.
The post holder will need to be familiar with the use of IT, specifically with Microsoft Office applications and accountancy databases. The post holder must have the ability to work interpret and analyse financial data, with a high attention to detail and accuracy. Working within a customer focussed environment, you will also need the ability to have good communication skills to ensure that queries from staff and students are answered in a friendly and professional manner. Excellent negotiation skills, for dealing with Suppliers, is also essential.
The successful candidate will hold GCSE Maths grade A-C (or equivalent qualification) and be educated to A level standard (or equivalent).
The preferred working hours for this post are Monday - Thursday, 09:30 - 14:00, however we are able to offer flexibility with this and can consider alternative working patterns, subject to business needs.
