The Department now wishes to appoint two Fixed-term Teachers in Mathematics and Statistics to help us provide excellent teaching.Duties of the RoleThe successful candidates will be required to teach the Mathematics and Statistics module to pre-degree students taking the course as a preparation for undergraduate studies. You will collaborate with both academics and administrative staff to enhance a supportive learning and teaching environment and will be responsible for ensuring that relevant learning aims and outcomes are met by adhering to the set syllabi and to ensure that students are prepared for Year 1 study.Responsibilities will also include marking coursework and examinations, giving student's feedback and attending relevant meetings, briefings and standardisations session as required.Skills and qualifications requiredThe successful candidate will hold a degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent level qualification and will have experience of teaching in a further education environment, along with experience of teaching Mathematics and Statistics.You will have an understanding of a range of different teaching methodologies and a commitment to developing your teaching practice.
