The Late night venues department is responsible for the SU nightclub, Cine 10 and a late night event space and events throughout the SU that we put on such as Derby Day, street fest, summer ball and fireworks. Being part of the late night venues department means that you’ll be helping with supporting events enjoyed by thousands of students on a very regular basis, providing an experience to remember on the daily.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Working behind the scenes in all of the SU venues, you will be responsible for helping us provide and amazing performance and experience for all our members, you will help design and execute a wide range of events from festivals with over 3000 students attending, to live music events in our 1200 capacity venue, with a world class sound and light system, with performers from Scouting for Girls to Sub Focus and helping deliver amazing award ceremonies for the SU.
You will oversee all the technical aspects of running a nightclub, bar and Cinema, Auditing and keeping detailed records of all the equipment within the department. Managing student staffs Rota’s and keeping staff trained and up to date with all Health and Safety regulations.
We work with a range of external providers which you will help build and keep relationships with, also we work closely with the university which you will develop and build working relationships with.
