A limited amount of graduate teaching will be available. Assistant Lecturers will normally be current PhD students in the School of Law, but applications are invited from students from other departments as well. When considering your application, we will be reviewing your previous experience of both studying and teaching the relevant topics, and any external experience you may have on the subject. We will also consider carefully whether students who are having difficulties with progress on the PhD should be offered teaching and all offers of Assistant Lecturer work are subject to the approval of the PhD Supervisor.
We currently invite applications for Assistant Lectures on a range of modules and are happy to consider expertise in any subject, although an example of the areas we would usually appoint are:
Assistant lecturers who have taught previously in the Department should hold CADENZA D1, Associate Fellow accreditation in order to be considered.
