We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Research Officer to work on the Human Rights, Big Data and Technology Project. The ESRC Human Rights, Big Data and Technology Project (HRBDT) addresses the overall human rights impact of data analytics and new and emerging technologies.
HRBDT is a team of multidisciplinary academics in computer science, sociology, economy, law, philosophy, political science and sociology, predominantly based at the University of Essex with partners worldwide.
The researcher will conduct literature and case-law reviews in key areas related to the use of data analytics and new and emerging technologies and participate in interviews by taking notes and transcribing. The Research Officer will also help with the organisation of events. This position will involve working closely with investigators and senior research officers as well as other colleagues across the project.
This is a fixed term contract until March 2022.
