Wivenhoe House Hotel
We are looking to recruit waiting staff to join our team in a busy and challenging environment. Wivenhoe House Hotel, a 4 star country house hotel, home of the Edge Hotel School, has 40 bedrooms/suites, 120 cover banqueting and conference facilities and an 80 cover Brasserie. This is an excellent opportunity for those looking to progress

The Role and Duties
The post-holder will assist the Restaurant Manager and Supervisors in ensuring an efficient, professional and profitable restaurant and bar operation delivering excellence in customer service.
Duties will include assisting with the smooth running of the restaurant and bar areas; liaising with Reception staff regarding guest bookings and requests; answering telephone enquiries in the prescribed manner; mentoring and coaching Edge Hotel students to ensure they maximise their training in food and beverage; and maximising restaurant revenues through discreet up-selling of food and beverage items.
Qualifications and Skills required
Candidates must have experience of waiting at tables in a similar role within the hospitality industry. An NVQ level 5 in hospitality or equivalent qualification would be preferred and candidates will ideally hold a personal licence (NCPLH), though this is not essential.
The ability to communicate effectively, exceptional attention detail, and the ability demonstrate a high quality of customer service at four star service standard is essential.
