This is a fantastic opportunity to gain experience working for the University of Essex in association with the Football Association (FA) and BUCS.The FA's strategy for Women's and Girls' football aims to double participation, double the fan base and achieve consistent success on the world stage by 2020. As a newly recognised University Grassroots Tier 1 Football Hub and BUCS Women's Football and Futsal Specialist Hub, we have a responsibility to contribute to the growth in the game.Duties of the role will include:The role is focused around developing and promoting opportunities for students, staff and the local community to participate in football and futsal - whether this is through playing, coaching, officiating or volunteering. Your aim is to develop new, flexible, forms of football for women and girls which may include, but not be limited to, small sided games, social turn-up-and-play sessions, one off tournaments or festivals and futsal activity. The emphasis is upon offering a wide variety of playing opportunities, regardless of ability or experience. Further responsibilities include developing and growing leagues and tournaments as well as developing links to wider community football programmes through our HE Grassroots Hub model.
