Communications and External Relations
Communications and External Relations brings together the main areas involved in leading the University's strategic positioning and profile. Engaging with students, staff and stakeholders, we promote the University's excellence in research and education, and ensure its profile is communicated in a consistent
way. We take an innovative and creative approach to our work and are at the forefront of new and best practice in communications, marketing, stakeholder and customer service.
An exciting opportunity is available in our Undergraduate and Admissions Office for an Undergraduate Admissions Administrative Assistant. The Undergraduate Admissions Office manages the policy and processing of applications for undergraduate study and is the first point of contact for enquiries from prospective students and applicants.
Duties of the Role
This part time post based at our Colchester campus will support the delivery of key services and effective administration throughout the admissions cycle with duties that include office administration, assisting with the processing of applications, assisting managers with staff recruitment and undertaking an active role in Confirmation, Clearing and Registration.
Skill and Qualifications required
The successful candidate will hold a minimum of 5 GCSEs at Grade A-C (or equivalent) including Mathematics and English and a minimum of 2 A-levels (or equivalent). You will be a strong communicator with proven administrative and organisational abilities and have excellent IT skills. Enjoying interacting with others and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team is essential.
Previous applicants who have applied for the same role in the last 6 months do not need to re-apply.
