The Workplace Wellbeing team at the University of Essex aims to:
Occupational Health actively promotes and maintains good health in the University workplace as well as providing support when health issues occur.
Duties of the Role
The post holder will be responsible for delivering, in partnership with the rest of the Workplace Wellbeing team, a high quality, consistent and professional in-house occupational health service that is compliant with Occupational Health Standards. The service currently supports staff and students on placement across the three campuses of the University of Essex.

Qualifications and Skills required
With experience in an Occupational Health setting, the post holder should have practical skills in carrying out clinical assessments in relation to management referrals. They should possess the ability to produce management advice letters, outlining suitable recommendations for employees and management, as well as identifying the need for case management and case conference meetings as required. Experience running vaccination and blood clinics are also desirable, as the role will be supporting healthcare students as they enter onto NHS and community placements during their course. Experience in undertaking Health Surveillance is also required.
Applicants should be a qualified registered nurse, hold current registration with the NMC and an Occupational Health degree/diploma.
