***INTERNAL APPLICANTS ONLY***The School of Rehabilitation and Exercises Sciences (SRES) is seeking to appointment a number of Graduate Laboratory Assistants for the academic year 2017-18.See www.essex.ac.uk/modules and search for SRES modulesNOTE: Not every module requires GLA support, please contact module supervisor for further information.Responsibilities:* Laboratory demonstration * Maintaining contact with the laboratory supervisor* Undertaking related administrative duties* Attending training courses and briefing meetings* Undertaking preparation as requested by the laboratory supervisor* Undertake marking of work from a defined marking scheme.Background knowledge and qualifications required* Familiarity with the subject area and methodologies/techniques employed in the laboratory sessions.* An undergraduate or postgraduate degree in a relevant subject area* Studying for a PhD in a relevant area but not in further completionSkills required:* Able to communicate clearly and effectively with a wide range of students.* Adequate English language competence for teaching and assessing a wide range of students who are both native and non-native English speakers.Range of hours offered:
Various.
