The opportunity has arisen for a motivated individual to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a quality; customer focused cleaning service within the campus day nursery.

Duties and responsibilities
As part of your position as Cleaner (Day Nursery), you will be responsible for providing a quality, customer focused cleaning service to the day nursery.
Duties will include cleaning communal areas of the day nursery building, cleaning of adult and child washroom areas, machine cleaning hard floor areas and deep cleaning whole premises periodically.
In response of the current Covid-19 pandemic, extra safety measures have been implemented to ensure we are protecting our staff, students and wider community. If successful, you will complete a mandatory health declaration and a risk assessment before starting work. You will also be required to adhere to wearing all necessary Personal Protective Equipment, as guided by your line manager.
Skills and qualifications
You must have the ability to undertake domestic cleaning to a high standard with good communication skills, a positive attitude to delivering good customer service and a flexible approach to work. You will be able to understand any Health and Safety information and guidance, in order to carry out the safe use of chemical and equipment.
It is important that you are able to undertake physical aspects of the post and you have a flexible and positive approach to work, with a professional manner.
Working Pattern
Appointment to this post will be made on a part-time (10 hours per week) permanent basis to be worked as required within the working operational window of 6.00pm – 8.00pm, 5 days in 7 days.
The current working pattern being Monday to Friday 6.00pm – 8.00pm, however in the interests of working efficiency the University may from time to time review current working patterns.
