The DepartmentThe Strategic Planning and Change Section (SPCS) supports the University in the development, implementation and monitoring of the University's Strategic Plan and its supporting strategies. Headed by the Director of Strategic Planning and Change, SPCS contains three teams: Planning, Governance and Strategic Projects.
The Duties, Qualifications and Skills requiredWe are seeking a Governance Support Officer who can provide high calibre, professional support for the University's corporate governance structures, including support for the efficient and secure operation of committees.
Educated to degree standard (or equivalent), and using your excellent communication, organisation and leadership skills, you will liaise with colleagues at all levels, act as committee secretary and will lead on the development and delivery of training and guidance relating to University committee protocols and good practice. In addition, you will manage the introduction, roll-out and enhancement of the paperless operation of University committees.
