Job description
Research and Enterprise Office (REO)
The University of Essex has an exciting opportunity to join our Research and Enterprise Office (REO) in the post of Knowledge Exchange Administrator. The successful candidate will join a lively and friendly team of around 70 professionals in the REO working to enable research development, knowledge exchange and wider
impact, engagement with businesses, and having institutional research planning and governance responsibilities. The REO supports and enables excellent research with impact to be conducted within this world-leading research intensive university, which is proud to be University of the Year (Times Higher Education Awards 2018).
Duties of the Role
The post-holder will join and support our Knowledge Transfer Partnerships administration team, facilitating the smooth delivery of collaborative research projects working with external projects. They will be involved in day-to-day interactions with both University academics and external stakeholders, and provide support to the rest of the team in a wide range of functions.
Skills and qualifications required
The successful applicant will be a proactive and responsible individual with a positive approach to team working and an interest in working at the forefront of knowledge exchange. They will be able to evidence experience of team working in a busy office environment. An understanding of the higher education and research environments would be beneficial but is not essential.
