Duties of role
We are now looking to appoint an Executive Assistant to support the Director, in the day to day running of the school. Key duties will involve organising events, managing the Director's diary and expenses, managing staff sickness and absence records, drafting correspondence, organising travel and overseas auditions, and communicating with numerous partners internally and externally.
You will administer external scholarship programmes, and liaise with high profile individuals and stake holders. HR related tasks including recruitment and employment paperwork and inductions will be administered by the Executive Assistant.
This full-time, permanent role will be based in Loughton (Central Line) and is a key role and communication anchor for the Loughton campus. You will also be key point of contact for University of Essex staff at Colchester and Southend.
Skills and qualifications required
In order to be successful, you must be educated to Degree level (or equivalent) and have experience of working as an administrator in a busy and diverse environment. You will also have experience in the following; minute taking, managing files and records, diary management, managing travel arrangements and liaising with external stakeholders.
You will have excellent interpersonal, communication and management skills, along with effective negotiation and influencing skills. The ability to work independently and produce high quality written work within tight deadlines is essential.
Experience of working in an arts/theatre environment and/or education is highly desirable.
