Library Services at the University of Essex is offering three fixed term graduate trainee posts starting in September 2017. Our graduate trainees play a central role in the day to day operation of the library service and the roles provide varied and practical experience in the library and information profession. There are opportunities to attend a range of relevant staff development activities and training and trainees will be offered the chance to visit a number of other libraries in the region as part of their programme. Graduate trainees will also have the opportunity to contribute to Library Services projects during the year.
The trainee posts are open to graduates who intend to undertake a postgraduate library/information course in order to pursue a career in librarianship/information management. Time off will be allowed for attending library qualification interviews.
At the University of Essex internationalism is central to who we are and what we do. We are committed to being a cosmopolitan, internationally-oriented university that is welcoming to staff and students from all countries and a university where you can find the world in one place.
