We are now looking to appoint a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in Adult Nursing and/ Mental Health Nursing.
These posts will complement our expanding existing team in the delivery of the innovative pre-registration programmes in nursing at our either our Colchester or Southend Campus.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established and successful team at the University of Essex to enhance your skills and experience in this field. You will be a member of the Nursing Division, one of the seven Divisions in the School of Health and Social Care.

Mental Health Nursing
Adult Nursing
If you have other areas of expertise, we`d be delighted to hear from you. These may include: teaching, student support, assessment and feedback.
You will input into the leadership of the Nursing Division, and will require management, administration, and organisation alongside teaching and support of students on our existing programmes, and generally enhancing our research-led teaching and research in Adult and/or Mental Health Nursing for those on a research contract.
About youYou will have relevant professional experience or practice or relevant doctoral level degree (or be close to completion for G9) and will have NMC registration, ideally as an Adult or Mental Health Nurse.
It is essential that candidates have experience in teaching at undergraduate and/or postgraduate levels, or demonstrable potential to engage in teaching and learning support (sustained record for G10) and an understanding of how students learn both generally and within their subject/disciplinary area(s).For ASER contracts, you will have a clear publication plan for submission to future Research Excellence Framework (REF) programmes and evidence of a research agenda, engagement in high-quality research activity and a developing research profile. For grade 10 this will be an established and internationally recognised research profile, with a well-developed future research agenda.
