Duties of the Role
We require an Administrative Officer to work within the Admin and Allocations Team, processing applications, and efficiently allocating rooms to a varied group of students requiring accommodation. This will include processing charges/credits to students, room transfers, and co-ordinating move-overs. The role also requires efficient administration skills, to assist in administrative duties which contribute to the support of the team, including filing, archiving, data input, production of correspondence, as well as sorting and distributing post.
The Administration Officer will provide a customer focused response to our students, at recruitment events, responding to queries by email, telephone, via social media, and face to face in an appropriate and timely manner, forwarding enquiries as necessary utilising the allocations and CRM systems.
Skills and qualifications required
You should be educated to A Level or equivalent and have strong administration skills. You should have considerable experience in providing efficient customer service and administration within a busy environment and be confident dealing with people. You will also have experience of Data Protection and data in-put, excellent numerical skills, good IT skills (experience in Microsoft package), and excellent team working, communication and organisational skills.
Appointment to this post will be made on a full-time (38 hours per week) permanent basis to be worked as required within the working operational window of 7.00am – 6.00pm, 5 days in 7 days. However, in the interests of working efficiency the University may from time to time review current working patterns. Changes to working patterns resulting from this will be subject to a minimum of 21 calendar days’ notice.
