ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT
The Student Services department is here to ensure that students at Essex experience a kick ass membership and have access to high quality Venues, Retail Offerings, Events, Catering outlets and an SU run Lettings Department. They are supported by the Premises Department who oversee maintenance and cleaning. No two days in the department are the same and the department embraces the Work Hard, Play Hard ethos. It is a fast paced, dynamic, and challenging department that consistently strives to deliver its vital stats to ensure students at Essex have the best time while here.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Reporting to the Retail Manager you will employ the skills that will enable you to take responsibility for the day-to-day operation of the Store and will take on additional responsibilities across all retail to help ensure that we are able to offer the best experience for our Students. You will ensure that standards are maintained and that customer needs are met.

Evidence of previous experience working in a related field
Able to evidence delivery of an excellent customer service to a wide range of stakeholders

Excellent interpersonal skills
Working knowledge of MS Office
Ability to build effective working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders
Knowledge of risk assessments, health and safety and child protections considerations in relation to relevant activities

Minimum 6 months experience in a supervisory or shift runner role
Experience of delivering excellent customer service, including resolving complaints
