University of Essex Campus Services Limited is a wholly owned subsidiary of the University of Essex, created in 2010 to manage its diverse range of commercial functions.
Duties of the role
The successful candidate will be required to carry out minor repairs to furniture and fittings, including lock maintenance and carry out regular health and safety checks. You will also be responsible for removal of rubbish and cleaning within the campus residential accommodation.
In addition, you will distribute student post and collect and distribute materials and equipment from stores/external delivery companies. You will be carrying our minor repairs to furniture and fittings and undertake legionella checks and any other relevant health and safety checks when necessary.

Skills and experience
In order to be successful, you much have previous cleaning experience with the ability to undertake minor maintenance tasks. You will have good communication skill and will have the ability to work as part of a team and alone.
You will have a full current UK manual driving licence and have the ability to undertake physical aspects of the post including manual handling, lifting carrying, pushing and pulling.
