THE PROJECT
The successful person will work in a project that aims to explore inequalities in cancer treatments using historical data from the NHS Trust and if applicable, come up with suggestions for
improvements.
The main areas of focus of the project are: state of the art machine learning techniques, fairness and transparency, causal graphs and other novel ways of representing and deriving insight from complex, heterogeneous data.

This post is fixed term for 12 months and is based primarily at Basildon University Hospital in Essex, one of the main Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust hospitals. The candidate will be required to travel to the University of Essex campus from time to time.
