We are now looking to appoint two Administrators to work within our Education team. Duties of the RoleThe role will provide administrative support to taught courses and students, working closely with the Undergraduate and Postgraduate team and wider school. The successful candidate will need to have a flexible approach to work and be prepared to work across the whole of the education team as priorities and processes change.The Administrator (Education) is responsible for providing high quality and efficient administrative, student services and academic support within the School of Law. Working as part of the School's Education Team, and based in the General Office, the role is student facing and deals with undergraduate, postgraduate taught, and research students. Duties of the post are broad and varied, as determined by the cycle of the academic year, predominantly coming under 3 categories: 'General Administration', 'Student Services' and 'Academic Services'. There are also specific areas of work for which the individual is responsible for, which can include allocated year groups or projects.A full list of the duties can be found within the job pack.Qualifications and Skills requiredApplicants are required to be educated to 'A level' or equivalent and have evidence of, or qualifications, demonstrating a high level of competency in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.You will have previous administrative experience, including working in a fast-paced environment where a high level of accuracy and meticulous attention to detail were essential, and experience of using Microsoft Office, Outlook, databases and the internet in a working environment.As the role involves working with a range of people across the University, possessing excellent interpersonal and effective communication skills is essential.At the University of Essex internationalism is central to who we are and what we do.
