Department of Mathematical Sciences (DMS)This is an exciting opportunity to join the Department of Mathematical Sciences (DMS). The Department is a growing and vibrant department in the Faculty of Science and Health. DMS is internationally known for its research in a range of areas and offers an excellent education to its students.
We are looking to appoint three Fixed Term lecturers. Two appointments will be made to start as soon as possible, to help with the delivery of our busy data science and statistics modules. One appointment will be made with a start date in January 2023, to help with the delivery of our 3rd year modules on the mathematics courses.
Duties will include designing, planning and delivering learning across a range of modules or within subject area, assess and feed back to learners, supervise student projects, fieldwork and placements and engaging successfully and effectively in substantive teaching.
To be successful you will have a relevant master level degree in Mathematics, Actuarial Science & Finance or Data Science or Optimisation or Statistics or related discipline or similar subject or equivalent professional experience or practice, substantial experience in teaching at undergraduate and/or postgraduate levels, or demonstrable potential and experience of designing and planning of learning activities.
