Professional Services are responsible for the day-to-day operation of the School, supporting the delivery of our teaching and research. The team of 16 work supporting specific functions of their teams; Education, Executive Services and Events and Communications.Duties of the RoleThe Administrator (Executive Services) will report to the Executive officer (Finance) and will be responsible for providing administrative support to the Professional Services and Academic teams in Essex Law School. The role will involve a mix of providing administrative support for finance, office management and supporting the activities of senior members of the school. You will be expected to work in accordance with the School's principles, values and behaviours.In addition, you will manage the provision of office supplies, manage staff diaries and calendars, maintain the Schools e-mail groups and identify potential improvements to administrative systems.A full list of responsibilities and duties can be found within the job pack.Qualifications and Skills requiredThe successful candidate will possess a minimum of five GCSEs at grade A-C including in Mathematics and English and will have relevant administrative experience in a busy office environment.In addition, you will have experience of working within a customer focused environment and will have a proven track record of working independently and pro-actively, strong and effective organisational skills, excellent time management skills and evidence of meeting deadlines while working in a demanding environment. Excellent IT skills are required, and it is desirable for you to have experience of financial systems, spreadsheet packages and databases.
