The occupational therapy team are creative and forward-thinking, actively engaged in developing the BSc and MSc programmes to provide the best graduates for Essex and beyond. We are seeking a new team member who is passionate about occupational therapy and committed to pre-registration student education.
Duties of the Role
Ideally, you will have a postgraduate qualification relevant to occupational therapy and experience of education in higher education and/or placement settings. You will work with us to design, deliver and evaluate occupational therapy education and contribute to interprofessional modules for physiotherapy and speech and language therapy programmes. This interprofessional environment for learning extends to staff, with many opportunities for collaborative teaching, research and professional development. The University of Essex values critical engagement with real-world issues, supporting our active and scholarly engagement with the demands of contemporary health and social care.
Skills and Qualifications required
You must have current registration with the Health Care Professions Council as an occupational therapist and be committed to work towards a postgraduate teaching qualification, if you do not already have one. This is a permanent, full-time post based at our Colchester Campus.
