Communications and External Relations
Communications and External Relations brings together the main areas involved in leading the University's strategic positioning and profile.
Engaging with students, staff and stakeholders we promote the University's excellence in research and education, and ensure its profile is communicated in a consistent
way. We take an innovative and creative approach to our work and are at the forefront of new and best practice in communications, marketing, and stakeholder and customer service.
The Role and Duties
We are looking for a brand specialist who excels in brand messaging, brand development, and is a confident relationship builder. You will have a proven track record of building brands, working across both Marketing and Communications teams and building institutional buy-in with a broad range of stakeholders.
Within this strategic-level role, you will be expected to take a creative approach to your work, develop/evolve and support the delivery of the University's brand strategy as the institution grows, and understand what the brand means for all of our stakeholders. You will need to demonstrate credibility, authority and pragmatism in achieving this.
Qualifications and Skills Required
You will be a committed and enthusiastic individual who will relish the chance to work with a challenger brand, and understands the importance of standing out in a crowded and competitive market place.
You will also have experience of using a variety of marketing and communications channels to support brand profile raising campaigns.
A Degree or equivalent level qualification or experience, as well as a CIM professional qualification (or equivalent) are essential.
