The Asset Manager will primarily be responsible for assistance with the development, implementation and management of the University's Building Asset Management and Compliance systems, which includes Health & Safety, statutory testing, servicing, and PPM (planned & preventative maintenance) systems.
The post holder will assist with the control of budgets and approval of expenditure of various works, and will ensure effective management of capital and revenue maintenance and refurbishment projects. Additionally, assist in ensuring effective c-ordination of various departmental teams in the delivery of energy efficiency schemes, data gathering and system improvements.
The Asset Manager will have direct line management responsibilities and will be expected to supervise external contractors & consultants, therefore previous line management experience is essential.
The successful candidate must have a degree or relevant qualification in business management (or a related discipline) and ideally will have obtained a project management qualification. You must be able to demonstrate substantial experience in delivering, implementing and managing Asset Management Planning across diverse and complex organisational platforms, in addition to compliance and regulatory frameworks, practices and data platforms.
Working hours are 36 hours per week, Monday to Friday, however flexibility is required.
