Our Campus is a vibrant and exciting place in the centre of Southend with students studying a variety of subjects. We are there to support students with their degree, through representation, advice, putting on great events and delivering excellent services. The Lounge is an important space for students to grab a hot drink or attend our events.
As the Venue Supervisor of the Lounge you will be responsible overseeing all aspects of the day to day operation, ensuring excellent customer service is delivered at all times. Your role will include recruiting, training, developing, and monitoring the progress of the Venues Assistants.

Able to evidence previous experience working in a related field

Strong organisational skills, including working with processes and systems of work
Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders and deliver excellent customer service
Ability to display tact and diplomacy
Ability to work as part of a team, supporting the work of colleagues and overseeing student staff
Excellent interpersonal skills
Working knowledge of MS Office
Ensure all data and information is managed in line with GDPR Regulations
ROLE SPEC
Experience in using till systems, cash handling & reconciling
Food Hygiene level 2
Experience of supervising, motivating and developing staff teams
Experience of delivering excellent customer service, including resolving complaints
Excellent communication skills, with particular emphasis on face to face communication
Ability to work as part of a team, on your own initiative, supporting the work of colleagues and supervising student staff
