East 15 Acting SchoolEast 15 Acting School is a top-ranked conservatoire school which consistently scores over 95% for student satisfaction in the National Student Survey. Part of the University of Essex, East 15 was recently rated one of the top three Drama Schools in the UK in both the Guardian and the Times/Sunday Times surveys and voted number one for Diversity in The Stage. We are looking to appoint a Finance and Contracts Officer to work on a fixed-term, full-time basis until July 2020. This post will be based at our Loughton campus.Duties of the RoleThe Finance and Contracts Officer will provide a wide range of finance and contract (with the associated HR elements) administrative support, in an efficient, effective and timely manner to the East 15 Acting School. Responsibilities in support of Finance will include ensuring departmental purchase orders are raised and invoices processed, coding and checking of expenses, keeping and maintaining records and audit trails and helping to produce year end journals, accruals and prepayments.Responsibilities in support of HR will include producing staff contracts, entering and updating employee records, supporting and advising East 15 staff in checking right to work documentation and initiating regular checks over contract end dates.Skills and Qualifications requiredThe successful candidate will be educated to A-Level standard or equivalent level 3 qualification and will have evidence of, or qualifications demonstrating IT competency. You will have proven administrative experience within a busy environment and will have experience of managing a range of varied and complex tasks.High levels of accuracy, meticulous attention to detail, effective communication skills and the ability to draft professional business communication are essential for this post, along with a basic understanding of the key principles of financial controls, budgeting and reporting.At the University of Essex internationalism is central to who we are and what we do.
