Duties of the RoleWe are looking to appoint a Technical Supervisor to support the teaching staff and students in undertaking of Stage Management and Production Management within the School. In particular the focus is responsible for ensuring the students are mentored in the appropriate area of specialism and demonstrate equipment and tools as required and provide guidance in Stage Management across the school.
This full time permanent role will be based in Loughton (Central Line) and other locations as required for projects. There may be occasional support required for the Southend Campus.
Skills and qualifications requiredThe successful candidate will hold an undergraduate degree or appropriate professional training qualification/experience.
Experience of Stage Management is essential and previous experience of working with students within a training or educational setting desirable. The candidate will have relevant professional experience and have strong organisational skills, and experience of production supervision is essential.
The post holder will have awareness of health and safety requirements in a production and training environment. They must have a flexible approach to work with a willingness to work outside normal office hours. A full valid UK driving licence is required, in order to transport staging equipment to and from venues, with the use of East 15 vehicles.
