The Roles and DutiesEssex Pathways Department at the University of Essex wishes to recruit three fixed-term tutors in Mathematics and Statistics. Tutors who are appointed will be required to teach in the areas of Mathematics and Statistics to foundation and undergraduate students taking the course as a preparation for undergraduate studies. Each tutor will involve in teaching one or two modules on (i) Mathematics and Statistics; (ii) Essential Mathematics; (iii) Mathematics for Data Science. The tutors will also be responsible for ensuring that relevant learning aims and outcomes are met by the students by adhering to the set syllabi and to ensure that students are prepared for Year 1 study. Qualifications and SkillsThe successful candidate will have a minimum of a Bachelors degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent qualification as well as experience of teaching in a Further Education Environment.At the University of Essex internationalism is central to who we are and what we do.
