An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, proactive, and reliable individual, with a passion for providing a high level of customer service, to join the administrative team in the Department of Literature, Film, and Theatre Studies as an Academic and Operations Officer (part-time). Duties of the Role
Working under the direction of the Department Manager, you will be part of the administrative team, acting as the first point of contact for administrative and operational matters of the Department’s standard, non-standard, and accredited courses, including providing administrative support for NCTJ exams, dealing with student expenses, field trips and work placements, and providing administrative and operational support for the management of the Department’s spaces and education delivery. The duties of the post are varied and wide-ranging, with a key responsibility for providing first-rate administrative and operational support for the Departments’ standard and accredited courses within the context of the wider work of the Department.
Skills and qualifications required
This role would suit an experienced administrator, with excellent organisational skills, high standards of accuracy and attention to detail, and a flexible, team-oriented approach to work. The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal, communication and team-working skills, and the ability to deal with multiple priorities in a busy, student-facing environment.
