Further information is available at: www.ktponline.org.ukTHE PROJECTThe University of Essex in partnership with Profusion PLC offers an exciting opportunity to a graduate to develop Ethernet based software to control reference designs for networked microphones and active loudspeakers (enabling SMART control of a range of settings used in professional audio). This post is fixed term for 30 months and is based at the Profusion PLC offices in Southend, Essex.DUTIES OF THE POSTThe duties of the post will include:* Leading on the development of Ethernet based software to control reference designs for networked microphones and active loudspeakers.* Assessing feasibility of all technical road maps, liaising with Academic team.* Development of Ethernet based software to control reference designs for networked microphones and active loudspeakers IP stack development, to include:- Analysis of current DSP and audio-over-IP technology.- Design of DSP Module and accompanying Software Development Kit.- Analogue-IP interface development.- Internet of Things Analysis.* Preparation of operational documentation and provide subsequent support and training for users.KEY REQUIREMENTSThe post holder must have:* A degree (BSc/BEng) in a computer programming or related discipline.* C++, Java, MATLAB and JAVA programming skills.* A good working knowledge of DSP functionality.* A good working knowledge of IP, Ethernet and analogue/digital audio.BENEFITSAs a KTP Associate, the post will offer the following benefits:
