The opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and organised individual to join our Helpdesk team within Estates and Campus Services.
The Estates and Campus Services teams deliver a wide range of services for the University, from catering to sports facilities, from accommodation to grounds maintenance, and from estates management to the luxury hotel, Wivenhoe House. Our teams aim to deliver a professional and seamless service to students, staff and visitors.
Our work supports the University in the development of new facilities, the ongoing development of vibrant campus communities and optimising reinvestment to support development opportunities.
Duties of the Role
The successful candidate will work in a busy and demanding environment that aims to deliver excellent customer service to both internal and external customers. As a Customer Service Assistant within the Estates and Campus Services Section you will be responsible for providing a professional and customer focused service, working both on your own initiative and as part of a team.
The post holder will log, respond, plan and organise the full life cycle of all facilities management administration operations from customer enquiry to job completion, deliver excellent customer service and interpret and manage work orders through the Facilities Management software package, currently Planet Enterprise, ensuring that service level agreements and key performance indicators are met. You will also administer the University’s car parking registration system and undertake other administrative tasks.
Qualifications and skills required
The successful candidate will have GCSE's in English and Mathematics grade C and above (or equivalent) and will have previous experience of creating and distributing communications, along with extensive experience of using Microsoft Office applications.
You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The ability to work to tight deadlines, manage workload effectively and maintain high standards of attention to detail are also essential.
