Are you a catering professional, and looking for an exciting and flexible role within a fast paced environment? We have an exciting opportunity for an ambitious and passionate Assistant Chef Manager to be part of our team within one of our fantastic Eateries at our Colchester Campus.
Duties of the Role
You will be assisting the Chef Manager in leading a team of Chef’s, ensuring the day-to-day smooth running of the kitchen. The successful candidate will ensure the department delivers customer satisfaction through exceptional food quality, utilising local fresh produce, recognising the importance of plant-based foods and using them to produce menus of change.
Applicants should be passionate and motivated, leading by example and able to motivate and develop both the catering offer and the team.
Skills and qualifications required
You will need excellent communication skills in order to lead a small team of Chefs in a busy environment producing excellent food and maintaining operational standards throughout your shifts. You will have substantial previous experience as a Chef at a similar level and be passionate about the catering industry, follows food trends and is able to influence those around you to do the same.
As an Assistant Chef Manager you will be looking for the next step within your career deputising for the Chef Manager, always leading by example, motivating and leading the kitchen team when on duty.
