The University of Essex (Southend campus) is looking for two part-time (23.75 hours per week) IT Helpdesk Assistant Analysts to deliver a high quality customer service for our students and staff. With a daily working window of 4.75 hours each, the two posts will cover the Southend IT Helpdesk's opening hours Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 6.00pm.You will have the ability to respond with patience and tact to IT service enquiries, from customers with a wide range of IT knowledge and cultural backgrounds. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills whether you are responding by email, telephone or in person.The ability to work responsibly and accurately under your own initiative and as part of a team in a busy university environment is essential.The post is based at the Southend campus, occasional travel to Colchester and Loughton may be required.At the University of Essex internationalism is central to who we are and what we do.
