Communications and External RelationsThe University of Essex is recruiting an Arts Communications Assistant to help publicise its wealth of on-campus arts events and activities to its staff, students and others.The Arts Communications Assistant plays an important role in ensuring that our students and staff are aware of and take advantage of the great range of arts activities available on Colchester Campus, specifically publicising the Lakeside Theatre and Art Exchange art gallery.Duties of the RoleThe role is responsible for: * Using social media channels to promote and publicise theatre events and art exhibitions.* Work with the internal comms team to promote events via our internal news channels.* Work with an external designer on the annual Lakeside and Art Exchange printed brochures and posters.* Work innovatively and creatively to use social media to build student networks such as making short film clips and vox pops for sharing on social media channels.Skills and Qualifications requiredThe University is looking for a flexible team player with the creativity to and drive to ensure our internal audiences are excited about our arts offer.
