Library Services at the University of Essex provides high quality, user-focused services to support the learning, teaching and research needs of the university. The Collections team is responsible for acquiring, processing and managing the print and digital resources required to support library users.
We are currently seeking a Core Resources Co-ordinator to play a key role in managing the library's digitisation and reading list services. The successful candidate will be expected to lead on the day-to-day co-ordination, promotion and development of these services, as well as assisting with the wider duties of the Collections team including managing the library's physical collections. Additionally the postholder will be required to undertake regular evening and weekend duties supervising small teams of library staff providing frontline support to users. Applicants should demonstrate excellent organisational, communication and IT skills, the ability to work with a high level of attention to detail, and an understanding of and commitment to providing excellent customer service. The successful candidate will hold a degree or equivalent qualification.
