You will be part of the Corporate Communications Team at the University of Essex and help us tell our story, celebrating our innovative research, showcasing our transformational education and finding new ways to connect with our global community.
Duties of the Role
You will create social media content, work with colleagues to develop digital communications campaigns and evaluate their impact. You will provide advice, guidance and training for getting the best out of social media including advising on which platforms to use for specific campaigns and audiences.
You will monitor social media coverage, report on trends, manage negative coverage and identify opportunities to promote the University of Essex.
Skills and qualifications required
We’re looking for someone with a passion for developing effective communications and digital content. The post holder will have experience of researching and preparing briefings and campaign reports in order to evaluate effectiveness. Also experience of different social media channels, creating content using Adobe Creative Cloud or other design software, and experience of working within a marketing and/or communications role are essential for this post.
You will have excellent knowledge of social media monitoring tools and experience of collating, analysing and reporting on related statistics. You will be a self-starter able to prioritise, manage your own workload and use your initiative.
