An exciting opportunity has arisen in Estate Management for a Transport Administrator.Duties of the RoleThis post is responsible for the administration of Transport initiatives and Travel plan measures which include walking, cycling, Parking Management scheme and public transport measures. You will report to the Transport Policy Manager and will work as part of a team and on your own to administrate and develop the University's Award winning Travel Plan measures. You will support in the delivery of all sustainable transport initiatives including the Arrivals Day airport coach transfer service and responsibilities will include:* Administering the Parking Management scheme for the University car parks* Responding to transport queries* Coordinating the update of all transport related information * Monitoring the Automatic Number Plate Recognition system software and pay stations* Managing parking notices and appeals as per University policySkills and Qualifications requiredThe successful candidate will hold a minimum of three GCSE's grade C and above plus GCSE's in English and Mathematics or equivalent level qualifications. You will have a good understanding of working within a sustainable transport and parking environment, with experience dealing with challenging and sensitive situations and the ability to act with discretion and maintain confidentiality.You will also have:* Excellent communication skills* The willingness to travel to Southend and Loughton campuses, as necessary* A proven ability to work and maintain perspective under pressure* Excellent interpersonal skills, including an ability to establish good working relationships * An approachable mannerAt the University of Essex internationalism is central to who we are and what we do.
