Essex Students’ Union is an organisation that is coming out of the pandemic in a strong position and we are in the market for a new Venues Manager to help oversee our late night licensed trade.
Can you help deliver events that will create lasting memories for our students? Do you have a passion for music that goes beyond the UK top 40?
This role will be long hours, hard work but more satisfying than any role you will ever have undertaken. When you go home you’ll feel like you’ve accomplished something and contributed to the bigger picture - you can literally look out of a window on campus and see the difference you’ve made.
The Student Services department is here to ensure that students at Essex experience a kick ass membership and have access to high quality Venues, Retail Offerings, Events, Catering outlets and an SU run Lettings Department. They are supported by the Facilities Department who oversee maintenance and cleaning. No two days in the department are the same and the department embraces the Work Hard, Play Hard ethos. It is a fast paced, dynamic and challenging department that consistently strives to deliver its vital stats to ensure students at Essex have the best time while here.
Reporting to the Venue Manager you will be helping to build a strategy to grow the business across our late night operations.
