THE PROJECT
The University of Essex in partnership with Hub Productions Limited offers an exciting opportunity to a graduate to lead on a project involving the creation of an innovative SaaS based product that helps content agencies and brands to create video content and distribution strategies for marketing, based on analysis of their target audience's interests and needs, the existing content on the web and social channels, and their budget. This post is fixed-term for 30 months and is based at the Hub Productions Limited offices in London, however there may be an opportunity to continue with the company following the project.
DUTIES OF THE POST
- Investigation of NLP, text analysis, web mining and machine learning techniques applied to online video context analysis and retrieval.- Build extendable ground truth datasets to capture audience needs relating to existing online video content for analysis and modelling purposes.- Development of a commercial software service tool for video content retrieval, analysis and visualization.- Design and develop a tool to integrate the analysis of textual and non-textual data for the analysis of online video content.- A prototype operational system for text based topicality analysis relating to online video content.- Development of a video topic extraction approach based on video content and text metadata.- Embedding technology and upskilling company staff._ Supporting company scale up and exploitation of new technology.
KEY REQUIREMENTS
The post holder must have:
- MSc or Higher Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Electronic Engineering or Physics.- Knowledge and interest in deep learning.- Knowledge and interest of NLP, text analysis and machine learning approaches such as deep learning, fuzzy systems and probabilistic reasoning techniques applied to video summerisation.- A high level of Java or Python programming ability.- Strong Javascript (including HTML/CSS) knowledge.
