DepartmentThe Strategy, Operations and Entrepreneurship Group at Essex Business School is based at the University of Essex’s Southend Campus and offers a range of Undergraduate and Postgraduate programmes.
Due to the recent expansion of our educational offering at Southend, Essex Business School requires an Academic Administrator to work as part of the School’s Academic Services Team providing high quality administration support for all academic programmes based at the Essex Business School in Southend.
Duties of the RoleThe Academic Administrators work as part of the wider Academic Services team delivering administrative support for all aspects of coursework and examination processing, and providing high quality administrative support and assistance to programme directors and other academic staff based at Southend in accordance with University and School policies and procedures.

Qualifications and Skills requiredThe successful applicant must hold a minimum of five GCSEs, including English and Maths, at grade A-C (or equivalent), and an administration qualification at NVQ level 3 or equivalent qualification or experience.
We are seeking a candidate with excellent IT skills plus high standards of administrative accuracy and attention to detail, with experience of accurate data entry and managing accessible records. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and an understanding of Higher Education are also essential to this role.
This is a permanent, part-time post for 18 hours per week.
