Library Services at the University of Essex provides high-quality study environments, resources and professional support towards the University’s mission of excellence in education and research. The Content and Digital Systems team is responsible for ensuring that students and staff have access to the resources they need to support
their learning and deliver this excellence in education and research.
Duties of the Role
We are seeking a Content Delivery Assistant to join our Content & Digital Systems team based at our Colchester campus.
The Content Delivery Assistant will provide support for an efficient resource fulfilment service. Role holders source and order new material, supervise invoicing processes, liaise with suppliers and library users, and provide training for academic colleagues in using the reading list management service. The role also includes some supervision of Content & Collections Support Assistants.
Skills and qualifications required
Applicants should have experience of working in a customer-oriented environment, with a commitment to good customer services and experience of using electronic library resources.
They should possess strong interpersonal and team working skills along with excellent problem-solving abilities and digital skills competence. They should also be confident delivering training to support staff and students.
